BBC History Magazine's Winchester History Weekend 2017
Friday 6th October, 2.00pm - Sunday 8th October, 7.30pm
The Great Hall and Ashburton Hall, Winchester

From Friday 6 to Sunday 8 October, the festival will be returning to the Hampshire town of Winchester for its second year. The ancient capital of Wessex is steeped in Anglo-Saxon and medieval history and we're delighted to have two fantastic venues again right in the centre of the town: the stunning 13th-century Great Hall which houses a famous replica of King Arthur's round table, and the Ashburton Hall at the nearby Elizabeth II court.

Friday 24th November, 6.00pm - Sunday 26th November, 6.10pm
The Yorkshire Museum and the Hospitium building, York

From Friday 24 November, the festival will be returning to the historic city of York for its third consecutive year. After the success of 2016 we've expanded our northern weekend to include over 25 speakers across two beautiful venues for the entire weekend. Our venues again this year are the Yorkshire Museum, one of the city's premier history attractions, and the stunning 14th-century Hospitium building just across the gardens.
